Bytoget is a family-run sightseeing train company based in Ålesund, Norway, proudly celebrating over 100 years of operation since its founding in 1922. Now in the hands of the third generation of the Honningdal family, we are dedicated to providing memorable and high-quality guided tours to visitors from around the world. Our charming city trains offer a unique way to experience Ålesund, one of Norway's busiest and most beautiful cruise destinations. In addition to our main base in Ålesund, we also operate in the picturesque town of Haugesund. We cater to individual tourists, cruise passengers, and private groups, with the possibility to book group tours year-round (weather permitting). Our trains are equipped with enclosed carriages and winter tires, allowing us to offer comfortable rides in most seasons. Each tour includes an audio guide available in seven languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Norwegian.
