Self Storage Group (SSG) is one of Scandinavia's leading providers of self-storage units and the largest self-storage operator in Norway. In addition to self-storage operations, the group holds a significant real estate portfolio with over 200,000 square meters of leasable space, as well as a substantial area under development. SSG operates under the brands City Self-Storage and OK Minilager, with a combined total of 145 facilities across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. In December 2023, the company was acquired by an indirect subsidiary of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association Inc (TIAA), one of the largest pension fund managers in the USA. TIAA already owns the largest self-storage operator in Sweden, Green Storage. The consolidated group will become the largest self-storage operator in the Nordic region, with significant growth ambitions in the coming years.
