STIFTELSEN NORDNORSK VITENSENTER

The Science Centre was founded in 2002 and is one of now thirteen regional science centres in Norway, established to increase interest in and knowledge of mathematics, science, and technology among children and young people. It is the regional science centre for Troms and Finnmark, with locations in Tromsø and Alta. The Science Centre is a popular science experience and learning centre where visitors learn through hands-on experimentation. This kind of exploratory learning sparks curiosity and promotes critical thinking. At the intersection of art, technology, and science, the Science Centre aims to foster creativity, joy of creation, and innovation among children and young people in the region of Northern Norway.
