På 1970-tallet var han nemlig i Tønsberg kjent for å starte butikker og engros-virksomhet. Senere utviklet sistnevnte seg til å bli hans hovedbeskjeftigelse – og slik ble Skjelland Group til. Selv om selskapet har skiftet navn opp gjennom tiden, har konseptet alltid vært basert på engros-drift. Det har vært en rød tråd hele veien. Med i tiden Med endrede markedskrav til både design og trendriktige kolleksjoner opp gjennom tidene, har det vært viktig og naturlig for organisasjonen vår å tilpasse oss denne utviklingen. I dag består driften vår kun av produktutvikling og distribusjon. Vi synes at det er interessant å ta del i en bransje som stadig er i endring, og hvor det hele tiden er viktig å være årvåken.
