From offices in Stavanger, Bergen, Haugesund, Bryne, and Kristiansand we sell and repair cars from Ford, Volvo, Polestar, and MG Historie: 31. mai 1921 startet brødrene Olaus og Aadne Kverneland sitt eget firma under navnet Brødrene Kverneland. Aadne og Olaus ville satse på salg og reparasjoner av biler. Bilinteressen fikk de da faren Ole Gabriel Kverneland kjøpte en amerikansk bil i 1915. Entusiasmen beholdt de i alle år; den ble ikke engang svekket da Aadne dro på bryllupsreise til Kristiansand i 1919, og det nygifte paret måtte bære deler av bilen og all bagasje over den stupbratte Tronåsen! I 1962 kunne Brødrene Kverneland flytte inn i nye lokaler i Stavanger. Her lå også bedriftens hovedkontor frem til 2003. Utover 70- og 80-tallet ekspanderte Brødrene Kverneland med avdelinger på Bryne, Egersund og i Sandnes. Senere har firmaet overtatt som Ford-Forhandler i Bergen, og som Mazda-forhandler i Stavanger/Sandnes og Bryne. I 2003 flyttet bedriftens hovedkontor til Forus i Stavanger, og Bergens-avdelingen flyttet inn i nye, tidsriktige lokaler på Minde. I 2006/07 utvidet Kverneland Bil AS sin aktivitet til østlandet, gjennom oppkjøp av den veletablerte Ford-forhandleren Drammen Bil og Ullern Bil i Oslo. I 2007 utvidet firmaet til Trøndelag gjennom oppkjøp av tidligere GadenWist, og forhandler Ford og Volvo i Trondheim og Steinkjer. Året 2008 ble Kverneland Bil også Volvo-forhandler i Stavanger/Sandnes, og har siden overtatt all Volvo-aktivitet i Stavanger, Sandnes og Bryne/Jæren. 2016 bygget og åpnet Brødrene Kverneland Bilhuset på Forus i Stavanger/Sandnes, og der har Kverneland Bil nå tre uavhengige forhandlere for henholdsvis Ford, Mazda og Volvo. I januar 2017 overtok Kverneland Bil 51,95% av aksjene i Ford forhandleren Haugesund Auto. I juni 2017 ble forhandlerne i Trøndelag (Steinkjer, Stjørdal og Trondheim) solgt.

4. JUNI BYTTER LÖNNE SERVICE AS NAVN TIL KYMAR AS Lønne Service var tidligere et datterselskap til Lønne Skandinavia/Brammer. I dag er vi et selvstendig selskap med nye eiere, og som følge av dette skifter vi nå navn. Da vi skulle velge det nye navnet på selskapet, syntes vi sloganet vårt «Keeps your machinery running», var et lovende utgangspunkt. Vi tok derfor en nærmere kikk på forbokstavene der, og da fremkom KYMAR («Keeps Your MAchinery Running») automatisk. Navneskiftet vårt skjer Torsdag 4. juni kl. 18.00, men for øvrig er alt ved det samme gode hos oss: Du vil fortsatt møte de samme faglig dyktige og hyggelige medarbeiderne våre, som står på for å gi deg best mulig service og faglige råd. Og selvsagt satser vi fortsatt på å forsyne deg med produkter av ypperste kvalitet. For dette har vært grunnlaget for Lönne Services suksess, og dette vil være oppskriften for Kymar også. Vi gjør én endring til i forbindelse med navneskiftet. Vi innfører et felles telefonnummer 800 40 700 for alle våre fem avdelinger; i Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Drammen og Moss.
